But I Can't Do Anything

Today for work, I went into a business.  I was talking to the owner.  In the middle of the conversation he said "The "N" word I had doesn't work here anymore".  I was totally shocked and disgusted.  I made a face and the guy asked what was wrong.  I said I don't like that word and don't use it.  He must have thought because I was white, it was ok.  I had to tread very carefully because I can't upset a customer, so I moved the discussion away from that topic.  It is such a sad testament to our society, there are still many cretins around that hate because of a person's skin color.  I would like to see if that guy would have the stones to use the "N" word in a room full of black folks.  Of course he wouldn't.  Racists are nothing but bullies who are cowards (see the KKK).  Its a shame, in the year 2014, we are still fighting the battles of the Civil War and the Civil Rights act.  Racism is passed down from generation to generation.  How can you put a stop to ignorance?
