Dirge Without Music

 I am not resigned to the shutting away of loving hearts in the hard ground.

Walk Right Up To The Microphone

 Our Moz returned to the stage last night for the start of another residency in Las Vegas. He certainly was a sharp dressed man, superbly attired in a dark suit. I think this is such a classy look for Our Moz and certainly fits for his sophisticated elder statesman of indie rock music. His voice is a treasure, it's amazing to me how he continues to sound fresh and powerful, a true gift for his fans. He played six songs from his yet to be released new album "Bonfire Of Teenagers". They all sounded great and will be welcomed graciously into the sound of Morrissey catalogue of music. I very much look forward to the release of Bonfire Of Teenagers sometime in my lifetime. My two favorites were "Rebels Without Applause" and "I Live In Oblivion". I loved the "From Generation X to X-Ray Spex line" in "Rebels". The most powerful and moving new song was "I Live In Oblivion". Mozza's delivery was a devastating indictment of growing old and the end of life. It's a truly sad reality of what's to come for most of us and what's happened to the loved one's of some of us. His Mother's death really jarred him emotionally and this song is a product of that. Sing your life.

Morrissey's residency will continue tonight and with 3 other shows on July 6, 8 and 9. We wish Our Moz the best, as always, and hope the future shows in Vegas are as divine as this one.
